A Cool Breeze lifestyle store will feature handcrafted designer clothing for men, women and children, handbags, jewelry, furniture and tableware.  Relocating from a prestigious Michigan Avenue address in Chicago, owners Jerry and Judy Adams were drawn to The SHOPS ambience and architecture. The eclectic nature of their collections allow the husband and wife team to indulge their passion for unique found objects. “We go by our heart,” Jerry Adams admits. “The most important thing in life is to pursue what you love.” Their original resort store located in
Harbor Springs, Michigan is a well-established tradition, based on a philosophy of treating each customer like part of their family. “Whether your budget is $10 or $10,000, you will leave a Cool Breeze knowing you have found something very special,” Judy Adams added. Opening in early October, A Cool Breeze will be located near Oliver Smith Jewelers.

If you thought just one ‘chick’ couldn’t make a difference, you haven’t met Lori Goldberg.

Lori applied 10 years of humanitarian experience beside her husband and two young children in Haiti and West Africa to establish Global Family Philanthropy in 2009. The northeast Phoenix non-profit organization's mission is to help Haitian children, from newborns to age 9, once abandoned on Haiti ’s streets, to receive consistent meals, an education, and a roof over their heads.

“Our children are happy because more than just their basic needs are met. They live in a nurturing environment and they know they are loved.” Goldberg said.

“Chicks4Children is the foundation’s new sustainable program to build a place of hope where neglected Haitian children can thrive, grow, lift themselves out of their poor conditions, learn life skills and obtain an education.”

For $50 per person, the luncheon program emceed by TV3’s Carey Pena, one of the Valley’s coolest “chicks” on Tuesday, May 4, 2011 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. will feature Bloom’s signature American cuisine provided by Fox Restaurant Concepts, along with the ‘chicest’ fashions modeled by The SHOPS Gainey Village luxury boutiques. All That Glitters and Glistens...

It seems nowadays that there are very few times the glitterati converges to celebrate all that is decadent and fabulous. Fortunately for us, this isn't one of those times, and Oliver Smith Jewelers is pulling out all the stops to highlight "Scottsdale's New Sparkle" in the form of a lustworthy (and sure-to-be uber chic) trunk and fashion show! What is "Scottsdale's New Sparkle" you ask? It is three budding, valley designers who are turning heads with their dazzling new jewelry lines! (Props to Oliver Smith Jewelers for keeping it local and supporting small business in the town we j'adore, Scottsdale) Oh! and just in case fabulous jewelry and sparking gems weren't enough, they are topping off this bedazzled evening with a fashion show styled by Nové, live music, sushi and drinks! Seriously... what could be better? All you need to do now is mark your calendar, grab a friend (or your significant other's checkbook), and figure out what you're wearing...

Time: Thursday, March 31 from 5-8pm (fashion show starts at 6pm)
Location: Oliver Smith Jeweler The Shops Gainey Village 8787 North Scottsdale Road Scottsdale, AZ
