Chicks4Children Charity Luncheon!

If you thought just one ‘chick’ couldn’t make a difference, you haven’t met Lori Goldberg.

Lori applied 10 years of humanitarian experience beside her husband and two young children in Haiti and West Africa to establish Global Family Philanthropy in 2009. The northeast Phoenix non-profit organization's mission is to help Haitian children, from newborns to age 9, once abandoned on Haiti ’s streets, to receive consistent meals, an education, and a roof over their heads.

“Our children are happy because more than just their basic needs are met. They live in a nurturing environment and they know they are loved.” Goldberg said.

“Chicks4Children is the foundation’s new sustainable program to build a place of hope where neglected Haitian children can thrive, grow, lift themselves out of their poor conditions, learn life skills and obtain an education.”

For $50 per person, the luncheon program emceed by TV3’s Carey Pena, one of the Valley’s coolest “chicks” on Tuesday, May 4, 2011 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. will feature Bloom’s signature American cuisine provided by Fox Restaurant Concepts, along with the ‘chicest’ fashions modeled by The SHOPS Gainey Village luxury boutiques. Plan to arrive early at 11 a.m. to indulge in a bevy of silent auction treasures provided by the generous merchants of The SHOPS Gainey Village.

With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, what better time to gather your favorite ‘chicks’ for a meaningful, fashionable and fun afternoon? While you’re there, be sure to block out time to shop with these “Hooray for Spring” specials and savings, valid through May 31, 2011.
